Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh (3,500 metres), our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. As Leh lies at a high altitude, the remainder of the day is reserved for rest and acclimatization to help your body adjust comfortably. In the evening, if you feel well, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the colorful Leh Market, interact with friendly locals, and soak in the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, set out to explore Ladakh's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Visit the historic Shey Palace, once the summer residence of the Ladakhi kings, housing an impressive gold-gilded Buddha statue. Continue to the magnificent Thiksey Monastery, one of Ladakh's most beautiful monasteries, dramatically perched on a hilltop overlooking the Indus Valley. Later visit the revered Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, famous for its annual Hemis Festival and remarkable collection of ancient Buddhist relics. On your return to Leh, stop at the serene Shanti Stupa, offering panoramic views of Leh town and the surrounding mountains. After an early breakfast, embark on an exciting excursion to the legendary Khardung La Pass (5,359 metres / 17,582 ft), one of the world's highest motorable roads. The scenic drive offers breathtaking views of the snow-covered Himalayas, deep valleys, and rugged mountain terrain. Spend time capturing unforgettable photographs and enjoying the spectacular surroundings before returning to Leh. On the way back, you may visit the Hall of Fame Museum, maintained by the Indian Army, showcasing Ladakh's history, culture, and the bravery of Indian soldiers. The evening is free to relax, shop for traditional handicrafts, Pashmina shawls, Tibetan souvenirs, and local artwork. Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward flight.
